@LaurenWalshArt I learned to draw when I was 12 with a #2 pencil, computer paper, and free tutorials from deviant art. I currently draw in off brand sketchbooks with a 4H and a mechanical pencil, and color in a free art program on my phone (Sketchbook). The so-called barrier is on the floor.

@RefusenikCorrie This is also an opportunity for your kid to feel like they have a voice and start developing independence. I still have trouble asking for help because I didn't have that.
And if your kid wants you involved that door is wide open. The letter says so.

@RefusenikCorrie This option gives them a safe adult to ask for help without any fear of consequence. Someone who will take that bad decision and make sure it doesn't turn out as bad as it could, help them not make a worse choice, and help them if they get hurt.
That's a good thing.

I spent my teenage years working out the least painful way to go, and the only reason I didn't try?

@RefusenikCorrie I didn't have a single adult I could talk to without her hearing about it, which means that if anything happened I had to worry about consequences. Everything was my fault until I proved I was innocent, so I didn't speak up as much as I should've.

@antsstyle What WOULD convince you? Obviously the company wouldn't admit it even if it's true because it goes against their interests, so what would a third party be able to say that you'd consider valid? As a general rule if nothing can change your mind, that's a sign of bad faith.
