The term "incels" was created in Toronto.
The Proud Boys were created in Canada.
Canada has normalized eugenics-based policies for disabled people.
The "do not let it happen here" crowd ignores all of that.
For those of you Canadians following along at home, the guy who did that Nazi salute MORE THAN ONCE yesterday, has been heavily pushing for and endorsing Pierre Poilievre. Don't forget that
Just to play back what happened here.
A Canadian Palestinian came on CBC to talk about losing her family members to IDF strikes.
The CBC host tried to shut down how she described the horrific situation in Gaza.
Unacceptable.
There is no room, whether at the CBC or anywhere else, to reprimand or block a guest who lost family members from calling a spade a spade.
Numerous international human rights organizations, including Amnesty and Human Rights Watch, have referred to the mass death in Gaza as a genocide.
International bodies have also referred to the situation as a genocide or plausible genocide.
The CBC and Natasha Fatah have no right to stop any guest from expressing this perspective.
It is a disgrace to those who have suffered, as well as to the honest and free exchange of ideas.
We encourage folks to write to the CBC today and tell them how sad and ridiculous this situation is at https://t.co/ylnOQKLyra
I love this so much!
At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.
This choice mirrors the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.
this particular family recreating a dress made famous by a woman who was starved to malnutrition in nazi occupied netherlands and who spent her final years working towards ensuring that that never happened again is honestly deeply disturbing to me
Leonard Peltier is going home. A powerful moment for his family, his tribe, for Indian Country.
Peltier unjustly lost his freedom for the killings of two federal agents.
It is unjust to not speak of Annie Mae Aquash, who lost her life. Of her family who never received justice.
When I started talking about Oligarchy, many people didn't understand what I meant.
Well, that's changed.
When the 3 wealthiest men in America sit behind Trump at his inauguration, everyone understands that the billionaire class now controls our government.
We must fight back.
Today, Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde boldly called out Donald Trump for his hatred and bigotry at the National Cathedral Prayer Service. Now, the GOP is attacking her for speaking truth to power.
RETWEET if you stand with Bishop Budde against Trump!
Everybody learns, from a pretty young age, that the Nazis were unfathomably evil, and they performed a “Nazi salute,” and this is something you don’t copy in your everyday life: https://t.co/PjTDj8qIeo
