On the 3rd floor of New Broadcasting House they’ll be deep into tomorrow’s running order by now, across from PM who will be hurtling to on air. I can picture it all - even if I didn’t think through the implications of having John Humphrys back in the studio :) Once a questioner, always a questioner! Thank you Anne and many others who wrote today, please know I appreciate it very much. With time to catch my breath and work on new plans, I will be back 📺 📻
Be part of a very special #Christmas programme 🎄 🎁 🎅 ❄️
THIS CHRISTMAS DAY: Send the word 'Christmas' and a short (up to 5 mins) voice note to the @BBCRadio4 Whatsapp number 03700 100 444

This is absolutely heartbreaking news. I — like so, so many producers — would not have my start in audio without Short Cuts. It's a rare gem and the perfect home for documentaries, essays, experimentation and audio art. Shows like Short Cuts should be celebrated and protected.
Extremely sad news...Short Cuts was such a wonderful place for new producers to get their start, & for more established ones to try new things. If you've never listened, treat yourself to a browse through the archive. Thank you @FallingTreeProd & @JosieLong for 40 great series 🩷
