Russell Moore is right.
Trump’s tweet is vile, disgusting, and immoral.
But Russell Moore is also vile, disgusting, and immoral for refusing to rebuke Joe Biden and Democrats in the same way.
“Unequal weights are an abomination to the LORD.” - Proverbs 20:23
Imagine going after Kirk’s widow like this. Imagine being a podcaster and thinking you’re the only one who knows anything. She’s a gnostic, luring everyone in with her “secret knowledge” that no one else has.
“You really think I am going to be on an Egyptian Plane when I am wanting to be with my ‘In N Out’ burger and my chocolate milkshake?!” -Erika Kirk, completely dodging the question by confronting a claim that we never made.
Literally NO ONE accused Erika or Charlie of flying on Egyptian planes and no, you were not pregnant for the last 4 years.
Restrain evil. Bear the sword. Which is why Christians should be more in favor of a government that stops drug cartels than one that maximizes the welfare state.
Imagine thinking the division of light and darkness is Trump and Buttigieg. What a terribly hopeless view of the world. Can you imagine a grosser savior than Buttigieg?
@LarryTaunton Would you call it cultural Marxism? The minority group is necessarily oppressed and so must rise against the oppressors (white Americans). Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems that untethered empathy (compassion) has been the match in the fumes of Marxist thinking.
The high school quarter back in your scenario is pursuing God’s natural design (though out of covenantal marriage). Sodomy is a total perversion of God’s design, and it is not acceptable ever, in any context.
If sin means “to miss the mark,” it’s obvious that some sins miss the mark by a much bigger margin. This is why some sins in the Bible are punished by death, and some require a turtle dove. All sins are damnable. But some sins are worse than others—like sodomy.
@jamesrwoodtheo Yes—he did not stop after saying “Christ is the end of the law,” but he said, “Christ is the end of the law for righteousness.” God’s eternal standard is in effect. Our righteousness is by Christ’s blood where we fail in it.
