@purnya2 Most artists who are not the OP will not think of their friends this way. I would venture that the OP wouldn't either, if they didn't have some kind of bone to pick. But it's a valid fear that I've long left behind me. I hate to see other artists picking it up.

@purnya2 @anarchyatlas It's okay, you don't have to think, I will spoonfeed you. This creates the idea that your friends are actively judging your art progress, and that if you're not improving at a rate they deem acceptable, they will view you negatively.
Thus the OP, judging their previous friend.

@anarchyatlas Wonderful! Then your friend's art not improving in 10 years isn't of any note or relevance. I also highly doubt that's real, and it's likely this person has done more than you give them credit for.
I have yet to see an artist commit to art for so long without learning something.

@anarchyatlas It won't work that way in reality, people don't lift themselves up by their bootstraps that way. Showing someone how fun gestures can be, or getting them to learn to draw something they care about will always beat out telling them they're on a neverending improvement treadmill
