Wrapping up my poetry residency at University of Sheffield, working on the "Just Turn Up" social research project with incredibly talented people! Here's 1 of the poems "Monday Afternoon at the Community Centre".

The Derby Poetry Festival Slam was AMAZING!! Brilliant performance poets with such varied styles. Honoured to have been voted Champion by the panel of awe-inspiring judges!
@DerbyPoetryFes
Incredible afternoon at the PMIMS exhibition event yesterday. Lots of thought provoking discussions. Glad to have been able to share a poem as part of the launch ! Great work @drjosiereynolds
The world is watching how @RishiSunak & @VictoriaAtkins are treating UK healthcare workers
And the world is doing a great job poaching us under their noses, offering us adequate compensation for the years of our lives we give up
Spotted in Waterloo Station, London.
Tesco pay low wages. Many staff top up with Universal Credit meaning tax payers subsidise Tesco profits & shareholder dividends. This year they're cutting up to 1600 jobs & taking on 1000 young people on Sunak's 100% subsidised Kickstarter.
But yeah. Benefit scroungers eh?
Incredible contempt for junior doctors from @royalhospital CEO Dr. Hal Spencer.
“Ultimately we need to make it not too comfortable for them”.
To fund it from the educational pot?
These are doctors FOR FUCK SAKE.
Context from OP provided in the last pic. Doctor is now in NZ.
Incredible donation on the @BMA_JuniorDocs strike fund
Read it @SteveBarclay
An Australian Doctor feeling guilty that so many of us leave to go there because of poor pay and conditions in the UK
You can’t hide from this
Hmm.. a personal casualty (probably) from the #JuniorDoctorsStrike but what needs to be done needs to be done! Also a good reminder for everyone that every doctor at some point in their life is a patient, too.
If you take £1 from £4, you have 75% left (or have lost 25%).
If you want to increase your £3 back to £4, you need an increase of 33%.
25% lost
33% to restore
This is why FPR is asking for a higher % than has been lost.
Hope that helps some understand.
Today, 700,000+ workers take part in the biggest strike in decades:
🧑🏫 Teachers
🩺 Junior doctors
📚 University staff
🏢 Civil servants
📦 Amazon workers
🚆 London Underground
📻 Local radio journalists
RT this if you support their fight for a cost-of-living pay rise!
BBC needs to make it clear that the additional pay juniors get is 1. for working up to 48hrs a week - which they have no choice over. 2. working weekends/nights - again they have no choice. Why does the BBC keep making errors over this?
This is superficially well written with lots of “sources” in this extremely one-sided article. The public, who don’t understand doctor’s training, I think this would read as well-balanced and accurate, which I think is probably the most dangerous thing about this reporting.
Thanks to this Government, junior doctors can now make more money serving coffee than saving patients.
From tomorrow we take #JuniorDoctorsStrike action so we’re paid what we’re worth.
I’m really sad to see this @BBCNews article, which does the doctors strike next week a huge disservice.
Ignore junior doctors and our whole service falls apart. If you want world class doctors, you need to pay them their due. Don’t, and they’ll leave.
