A recent commission: Aquamarine stud earrings in 18ct white gold. Need to be better at recording the process with these, & taking pictures of the finished piece (the last picture was unfinished).

Finished the last of the commissions for this year. Getting ready for a break until next year. Then it's on to sorting out GPSR (or abandoning EU sales). Anyone else got this nailed?

@masato_jones @RoyalMail And for less of a service as well. Clients don't often realise the hassle and wriggling they do to get out of a claim as well.

@ThePaulLaidlaw Yes, couldn't agree more. In the last few years the commissions and extra charges have increased a huge amount. If it was just buyer or seller commission, its a bit better, but both sides?

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

@eohiggins Love it!

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

Well I'm off my game. I've just put milk in my Earl Grey. No, not trying to be posh, just trying to drink a little less milk.

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

Stocktaking is not something I enjoy. The less there is to count, the quicker its over, so here's a discount code. PREST2024 will get you a 15% discount until 28th March, 2024.

#techniquetuesday Engraving. Hand engraving is the art of carving out metal with a graver to personalise or decorate. The engraving I tend to do is more of a decorative finish than for personalisation.

Hi #crafthour, what's everyone up to? Me? I've been busy making supplies for other crafters today. Making bead caps and 1" flower discs in Sterling Silver. This is another part of my business. #craftsupplies #handmadesupplies

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

Thank Crunchie it's Friday! Does anyone else remember that? Not that it applies much these days.

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

Second techniques post. Might make it a #techniquetuesday thing.

CAD (Computer Aided Design) has helped to make a lot of things more efficient by saving time and materials.

@herladyship15 Oooo I love that!

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

Question. What do you call someone who makes jewellery? I've seen a lot of people describing themselves in ways I wouldn't, and just want to see what you think. Something else? Please comment.

[Damian Miles @DamianJMiles]

@baggottsilver I've never stirred it. Started making it in a slow cooker now as you don't have to worry so much (Sacrilege? Maybe).

@AndyWoodturner Expressive sculpture?
