Meet Barani and Malu! 🐅 The sisters were born July 1 and are the first Sumatran tiger cubs ever born at the Fort Worth Zoo.

Barani is the smaller, playful one. Malu is more independent and likes her alone time. The zoo hopes you’ll be able to meet them in the coming weeks!

DFW received more than DOUBLE the rain Thursday (in just 3 hours) than we did in ALL of July, August AND September COMBINED!
Thursday was also the 9th wettest October day on record for DFW.

I RAN THE NUMBERS AT DFW...

FROM JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER (3 MONTHS) WE HAD JUST 1.53" OF RAIN.

THAT IS THE 6TH DRIEST FOR THOSE 3 MONTHS, ALL-TIME (DATING BACK TO THE 1890'S).

THIS MORNING (IN JUST 3 HOURS) WE MORE THAN DOUBLED THAT TOTAL WITH 3.09" OF RAINFALL AT DFW. #TXWX
