@chatbiology They are generally a bit puzzled at first. "Why am I the bus driver?" "Why am I the boss" "What does inventory specialist mean?" "How am I a solar power plant worker?" By the end of the activity, they all remember their specific function (and analogy) as well as classmates'.

@chatbiology When my students enter the classroom, I hand them a note card with a specific job/career listed, and then ask them to find a seat. Around my classroom I have various companies (updated through the years), and arranged the desks as individual seats or in small groups.
