you must believe you are special and then go so hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. you must wage a war daily against the ordinary outcome, until the belief you invented out of nothing in a room by yourself has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.
Don't be overly sensitive and take things too personally. At times, people behave the way they do because of the burdens they’re carrying. Be kind. Try and put yourself in their shoes and empathize. If you can’t, be nice and don’t hurt them. You’ll have a more peaceful life.
For f*ck sake. Be optimistic. Be extreme. Be relentless. The world is waiting for you to raise the bar and finally go all in. Execute. Inspire. Show us what’s possible.
A surprising amount of adulthood is just finally accepting that no one is coming to impose the structure you need. You either build it, or you drift inside the structures other people built for you.
If you don't actively steer your life, comfort and normalcy will make the decisions for you. Mediocrity has a gravity that everyone succumbs to unless they are actively fighting against it day after day.
You cannot rush life. Things happen when they are supposed to happen. Your role is to show up everyday and give it your best. Your best will not be the same everyday. There are days you’ll be motivated and some you’ll feel defeated. And such is life! Keep keeping on!
Not to sound delusional, but please pray for grace. Life isn’t really about hard work; it’s more about grace, being in the right place at the right time, mercy, luck & favour.
