Archivist/records manager for a Massachusetts town. I'm a runner and a better listener than a talker. I'll tweet about work but views and opinions are my own.
It will be like the miracle of the loaves and fishes - the file folders of materials I started collecting on the epidemic in the town of Burlington will multiply into boxes and boxes. You can bet on that.
As of today, April 9th, 205 Waltham residents have tested positive and are in isolation.
Please do your part to help us flatten the curve and stop the spread of COVID-19: Wash your hands often, stay home as much as you can, and continue to practice safe social distancing.
Which is it (chart)?
Bottom formed or bear market rally?
Is the wisdom of crowds looking through to a solid economic and corporate upturn OR
Over-optimism due to #CentralBanks/govts being "all in" and past market conditioning?
Hard to tell.
Inclined to the latter but not certain.
You would have thought that a competitive race for Mayor, School Committee, and City Council would bring crowds to the polls in Waltham, but it's rather quiet. So, no excuse for not casting your ballot. No lines, no waiting.
@brithume Keep in mind the only reason the Gnats are there instead of the 'stros is because AJ didn't put in Cole after Zack. Thank him for your trip to the WH.

@JohnDelaney Sen. Warren's 'plans,' will kill the economy for the rest of the century and weaken America's position in the world. We need solid, sober approaches to monetary and fiscal policy, not her pie-in-the-sky schemes.
Going back over my notes from #NEAfall2019 and I'm thinking many of the concepts discussed around the subject of maps will go into my next talk to our third graders on local history.
Meet the Bloodhound: a high-speed car designed to hit speeds of around 800 miles per hour.
A team of engineers hope it will break the world's land speed record next year 🏎
Very happy for the opportunity to use town documents in teaching our third graders about local history and government. Bids, blueprints, and construction specs of their classroom helps makes local government real for them.
Visits today from the third grade at our elementary school.
They learned about archives, history, digital records, municipal government, preservation, and much more. I wonder if there are any future archivists among them.
