@Chicago_History Fast pitch. Would split 5-6 balls every game. At $1 a ball, games often ended when we ran out. Played at St. Barb’s in Brookfield with short porch to the church in straightaway center. We’d have the janitor retrieve balls once a week. Also played at the roomier Gross School.
