Hi. BoE thankfully independent of (any) govt and concerned with monetary policy and financial stability. Govt with fiscal policy. But they are clearly connected: responsible, pro-growth, tax-cutting policies will create environment for stable economy and for ‘peacetime’ (in BoE parlance) monetary policy.
