I know in my heart that man is good. That what is right will always eventually triumph. And there's purpose and worth to each and every life. --Ronald Reagan
@RepubliKate Dash cams are a necessity these days.
And rear cams. We’ve been hit and run in parking so many times. And rear-ended.
Driving has got insanely more dangerous, and it’s almost always some schmuck messing with their phone instead of driving.
This is what happens when you emasculate men and prevent them from being the protectors they are wired to be.
Point first fingers at leaders (or "leaders") for disarming the law-abiding and allowing unfettered immigration from countries that do not share western ethics and morals.
@danmccay@disagreebutter Maybe something to try to slip in there if there's a special session this year? Or speed-walk it in in January?
I'd have done it for both vehicles I grabbed the plates for. I'll bet many others would, too.
Still not too late...ish. 1.5 years. :)
@disagreebutter@danmccay Missed opportunity.
Or, at least, the option to pay an extra $1.26 to benefit a veteran's charity, or something, to make the number cool and to raise a few bucks for something related.
@carsenlcooper@TheJTShow2024@Manhattva@NormieUtah That’s exactly what it was. I was there.
No shade on Dan for sponsoring SB54. He did what he had to do. SB54 is the worst piece of trash passed in decades. But the alternative would’ve been worse.
@Manhattva@RealMattFradd I'm not saying I agree with him, but "start by listening" is a good rule of thumb for almost everything in life.
One doesn't have to ultimately agree, but anecdotally, whenever I sit down and truly listen, I find that everyone who leaves makes valid points for their journey.
There are so many reasons for the plummeting birth rates.
There is some low-hanging fruit that is more of a states issue than feds, such as making family law make sense, though.
Feds can help, though, through ending/changing Title IV-D of the social security act, for example.
@danmccay I think the reason it almost feels condescending is supposed advocacy groups are always trying to make the disabled "feel included," or "feel enabled," or whatever.
I'd say just stop trying. We're good without icons intended to make us "feel" anything.
@danmccay As someone born with a lifetime disability and has had a placard since childhood, the "New School" one looks terrible. I hate it.
I can't explain why this is, but the new one almost feels condescending. It makes no sense to me why this is, but, well, here we are.
