This man, who goes by “Des,” has been a legal resident since 14. He moved some antifascist zines from one apartment to another after his wife was arrested protesting ICE.
He was sentenced to 30 years for being in “Antifa”—a non-existent boogeyman. It is murder by incarceration.
🇨🇩: Mboladinga “Lumumba Vea” is a DR Congo football fan who’s famous for covering his mouth at matches in protest against the world's silence on the violence in Congo.
The war in Congo has caused the mass displacement of over 8 million Congolese people, with over 27 million facing severe hunger, all while the Ebola virus spreads rapidly.
Now Mboladinga continues his protest at the World Cup.
An American just got sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for moving “Antifa” zines and there’s about 1000x as much media coverage of Trump’s reflecting pool 👍
Less than three years after making a key campaign pledge to build more than one million new homes in Ontario over the next decade, the Progressive Conservative government internally admitted the goal would be impossible to achieve.

If you’re turning left, you need to get into the intersection on green. It’s not in the manual but that’s how real life works.
Thank you.

Naftali Bennett: Area C will be annexed to Israel (60% of the West Bank’s area), while Areas A and B will remain under Palestinian self-rule, with no Palestinian state.
This proves, for those who still have not understood, that change in Israel will not come from within, because the Zionist opposition shares Netanyahu’s government’s role in entrenching the occupation and racial discrimination. No change will occur without imposing sanctions on the system of occupation and colonial settlement expansion.
Edmonton police chief visit to Israel included a stop at the command and control centre for Mabat 2000, a network of CCTV cameras throughout occupied East Jerusalem that uses facial recognition technology to surveil Palestinians. Amnesty International has called the system an instrument of “automated apartheid.” Via @JeremyAppel1025 👉https://t.co/LP8MvzKqzx
"The hardest decision we had to make in completing this report was.. not to name the Palestinian children, whose deaths, injuries & suffering we describe.. we didn't name them because we feared the consequences for their families"
He means Israel would go after them too.
From slashing school supports, to blocking physical safety impovements to streets, to more than TRIPLING the motorist speeding in school zones, Ontario's provincial government seems intentionally to be making it scary and unpleasant to bring up our kids in the city.
We will never forget.
Today marks the third anniversary of the murder of two Ukrainian heroes — Tigran Oganesyan and Mykyta Khanganov.
Two 16-year-old schoolboys from Berdiansk who became symbols of unbreakable resistance. They were among the first to tear down the russian tricolor in their occupied city, openly defying the occupiers.
For this, they were abducted, tortured, and falsely labeled “terrorists.” On June 24, 2023, russians executed them in cold blood in occupied Berdiansk.
They did not break. They did not bow. They did not surrender.
Their courage lives on. Their names echo through time.
We remember. We honor. We stand.
Tigran and Mykyta — forever in our hearts.
