Hon. @KIMANIICHUNGWAH has in the last over one year been threatening to form a Commission of Inquiry on State Capture. This is a brilliant Idea and he should move with speed to execute.
In the full hearing of all Kenyans, before God and the people, facts on different narratives that the UDA team has propagated since campaign time to date need to be laid bare.
✅ Does Uhuru own Rubis, SGR and Nairobi express way? What are the facts?
✅ Did the government spend billions of shillings on BBI? Exactly how many billions were used and when did parliament approve this expenditure? Does treasury have documents to back this claim?
✅ Did the government spend Ksh 15 billion on Huduma Namba? Can treasury authenticate this information?
✅ Did Uhuru and his CSs carry billions of shillings in sacks before they vacated office? How was this money withdrawn from treasury, and which bank dispensed the money? If there is evidence that such a thing happened, why haven’t arrests been made?
Meanwhile, if we want to address state capture as a nation and effectively deal with it, we can’t just be making an inquiry over a period of 3 or 4 years. We have to look at the matter holistically, from independence to date.
I therefore submit that the state capture inquiry be in 4 phases:
1963-1978
1978-2002
2003-2013
2013-2022
2022- to date
