I want to thank the voters of the 17th District. We ran a great campaign built on integrity and honesty. We focused on my vision for the future, not negativity towards my opponent.
Sadly, we did not win; but we came very close without any support from mega donors or the political establishment. We were outspent by at least 10 to 1 and still came close. I want to thank my family for all their support during this demanding time.
Another great parade today, this time in Schaumburg! Always happy to travel around and take the opportunity to see all the different communities within the 17th district.
Had a great afternoon in Lemont at the annual Keepataw Parade! Thank you to everyone who came out to this great community event and to all who made the parade possible.
Had a great Sunday afternoon biking with the Orland Park Police Department at their annual Bicycle Ride for the Illinois Special Olympics! Always proud to show support for our law enforcement officers and charities such as the Special Olympics.
Had a great time this weekend biking various trails throughout the Cook County Forest Preserves around the 17th district. Altogether Sara and I biked 50 miles and even had the chance to make a few stops to take in all that our precious Forest Preserves have to offer.
Tomorrow I will be biking several trails of the Cook County Forest Preserve throughout the 17th district in order to raise awareness for all that the Forest Preserves provide. Read the attached article to learn more about this effort.
