“The Macintosh team’s average age was 21. Most researchers at Xerox PARC were under 30.”
At 35, this is kind of uncomfortable to hear. Also makes me wonder about the implications of aging churches and their capacity to serve and adapt to culture in productive ways.
We just launched a refreshed https://t.co/jx8IZtp5We homepage ✨ Can’t believe I had to stay at Stripe for 9 years to see another homepage refresh—but it’s by far our best yet. So proud of this incredibly talented team and the care they bring. Grateful to be part of it ❤️
This is one of the things I appreciate about Jesus: he doesn’t teach that we pursue happiness or love ourselves, but rather that the most important things we can do in life are others-focused:
1. Love God with everything we have
2. Love other people as we love ourselves
Happiness is an emotion which, if you pursuit, flees from you. I think there’s no more consistent way to enjoy happiness than to focus on the wellbeing and others.
The idea that we should focus on ourselves above all else is a disaster. Self focus is a recipe for hopelessness.
Jesus lives, and death is now
but my entrance into glory.
Courage, then, my soul, for thou
hast a crown of life before thee;
He will raise me from the dust
Jesus is my Hope and Trust
He alone my Joy, my Prize
Jesus lives and so shall I
Jesus lives and so shall I
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:”
Psalm 146
@ZachSaucier Can't find the screenshot I thought I took but I think was about something like the effect of transform-3d or perspective on the visibility of elements in a particular positioning context.
The article title was on point too, making my disappointment even heavier.
@ZachSaucier 100%. When I saw your name I was going to text you and be like thanks for the help haha, then I clicked the link and it lead to an irrelevant article by someone I’d never heard of.

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” — Mark 2:17
Grateful Jesus didn't come here looking for righteous people, he would not have found me.
I just discovered @logseq or outliners with bi-direction links in general. Feels like I'm late but I think it might revolutionize the way I take notes and I'm really excited about it. Might mark the end of my the use of my own little https://t.co/oXYprq0TsI.
