Huge thanks to the crews of @EMASNHSTrust at Queens in Nottingham today who helped a very lost looking @swasFT crew on long distance transfer find the correct ward. The use of the welfare van was very much appreciated before the 180 mile journey home!!

No one knows where the boots may take them or what they might see.The boots will be present at the most amazing and horrific things life has to offer. When help is needed and 999 is called the next black boot wearer won’t be far away. I’m proud to be a black boot wearer

The black boots are something every emergency service worker has in common regardless to the uniform worn above.

The boots maybe new or old, scuffed or polished but the person who slips them at the start of every shift all have one thing in common they are there to help.
