@MrE2070534 @justimportant2@AndrewYang You honestly believe they'd be doing this if it weren't an overwhelmingly democratic state? You're full of shit lmao
It's not money for them, it's for the people that need it from a fucking wild fire you shithead. What underlying conditions did the people that need relief cause?
@MrE2070534 @justimportant2@AndrewYang No, it is the same thing. I think it's fairly evil to expect the disaster relief to come only after you get your political opponents to agree to your damands, whether your demands are reasonable or not. If you don't think that's the same thing, you're either stupid or in denial
@Yahweh2734@justimportant2@AndrewYang I didn't bother looking up who it was because that isn't really relevant.
You don't understand the distinction, so let me make it clear. FEMA lady *went against FEMA's mission* and promptly got removed and denounced. Republicans are *making it their mission* to politicize aid.
@Politiciz@justimportant2@AndrewYang I'm not going to pretend like I know what the money went to, but he got Congress to pass +100b in relief with most of that going to NC. How is that partisan withholding of aid? Or did you forget that's what we were talking about in this thread when you shifted the goal posts?
@justimportant2@AndrewYang The dude got fired as soon as it was discovered. We should do this to the Republicans who expressed desires to withhold aid as well. Surely you agree? Or do you think the outrage is more that when they are Republican officials they still get to keep their positions in office?
@DanSchneierNFL The cap lost would not have mattered this year, but we are missing many pieces and pushing a SB contract could cost us later when signing people who would let us properly rebuild (in theory). If we were competitive and he was injured/declining, we'd regret signing him. Just my 2c
Thanks to Elon Musk and Donald Trump, Republicans cut $190 million for pediatric cancer research from the funding bill.
Congrats to DOGE on their first victory.
