#footandmouth It's 20 years ago now. Can remember being a scared 12 year old thinking we might lose the cows.
We were lucky here, others were not.
This was a time before #mentalhealth was talked about. It's ok not to be ok.

Lockdowns, a little bit like albums......
The first one comes out to a huge fanfare and everyone takes notice, the second is rushed out and not really listened to by anyone, the third can go either way.
Here's hoping this is the magic that everyone listens to๐ค
If you work in #farming , or even if you don't, please take the time to watch this. Nothing is so important as to #comehomesafe , don't become another statistic.
Mr Sunak has announced that the government will publish the Budget on Wednesday 3 March 2021. I get lots of different opinions on it's severity. If you want to plan for the best or worst case scenario then give @OldMillAFP a call. https://t.co/jZwbtAU3kk
On at 9am today, looking forward to it @OMBenCarter , want to reduce your time in the farm office but still get the vital paperwork done?
Join us and find out more....
Excited to be showcasing how to utilise @Xero for the farm as the topic for our 'Rural Virtual Breakfast' tomorrow morning. Both @DanHeal1 and I are farmers sons using Xero so should be a good discussion. https://t.co/XqJVNg0oM5
@Lizhaines6@FarmersWeekly It's a very one sided article, but then it's also a very one sided question.
This is extreme protectionism and creates 'it'll all be yours one day' successions.
@FarmersWeekly I'd be quite happy to pen an article on things for the #nextgen to consider for succession planning.
Well, following last night's #dinnerdisaster, where I thought I was being helpful by sharing the jug of gravy with my wife, and even pouring it for her, we are off to the pub tonight!
Gravy doesn't go well with Salmon apparently ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ
@wildmanheather Never too soon, can be too late.
Plan on the home farm didn't start soon enough, consider the younger generations work put in from the outset or can be left very exposed - no house, no savings, no outside job.
Saw this in mid 20s and jumped, others don't realise until too late.
After the big day for #farming when this was released @oxfordfarming , what does it all mean?
Direct support will reduce and eventually end, we knew that....
Gives a bit of a guide of aims now though, down to farming to align and qualify for the grants. Take advice and #Adapt
Today we published the Agricultural Transition Plan, setting out our vision for England's agricultural policy.
Our policy will support sustainable farming โ working for farmers, land managers and the environment: https://t.co/Gizpgp7e48
