@svensundgaard The KARE 11 snow projections are vastly more conservative then National Weather Service. Why is there such a discrepancy? Are some of the modals suggesting the rain/snow line into St Cloud? KARE 11 6”-12” proj, NWS 10”-21” proj
@svensundgaard I’m interested in your reaction to this peer reviewed study. It shows scientist who think global warming is anything more then a “moderate” concern are in the minority and that most scientists are skeptical that the research is settled. https://t.co/2jGQbhPCde
@svensundgaard There is no consensus today either. Have you ever researched the origins of the often repeated “97% of scientists” consensus claim? Most people haven’t, but repeat it anyway. Many scientists, some from elite universities like Harvard, Yale, and MIT, disagree.
@svensundgaard The UN ICC 5th report in 2013 even said “current datasets indicate no significant observed trends in global tropical cyclone frequency over the last century.”
@svensundgaard @kevpluck Hence why to question it. Temp increase significantly slowed, yet total carbon level increase continued. To “disprove” a pause, scientists had to retool their ocean temp collection data to argue ocean absorbed it. At a min, questioning temp/carbon relationship is reasonable.
@svensundgaard The argument is,the earth is warming,Carbon is rising, therefore carbon is causing warming. The earths natural trend is warm/cooling.For temp increase to slow sig, even as carbon continues rising casts doubt on the relationship between the two.
@svensundgaard In science, you cannot “debunk” hard data. The average temp of the earth is universally accepted. To my knowledge, no one disputes how its collected. Either it is warming or it is not. The data says it “paused.” Even some at UN acknowledge that and credit our reaction to it.
