Was at the @dimensional Foundation Conference today and you @AdviserPodcast boys will be pleased to hear TRAP got a shout out as part of David Swanwick’s intro for mentioning (rightly!) on today’s episode that he’s one of, if not the, best speakers in our profession! 👏🏼
You know there's a guy out there living a life of zen-like contemplation in a cabin somewhere, refusing to check the news, who assesses his portfolio on a monthly basis and has no reason to believe that anything happened in April.
Maybe the craziest, dumbest, wildest month of market coverage I've ever covered. Very stupid, very fun, sorry to everyone who sold. S&P closes down less than 1% for April
@nicklincoln Given my good lady lives there you feel my pain. It’s almost worth letting her go over. Almost. That bottleneck near Welwyn northbound particularly ‘fun’.
In honour of @DouglasKMurray winning against the Guardian Group in court and because they've been sadly missed on X since they left.
I thought it time we took a stroll down memory lane and revisit some of the very worst from the Guardian

@geobuywise101 @nicklincoln@AlanJLSmith@AdviserPodcast Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience. Sounds like the wrong adviser has broken your trust which is a shame. There is no secret sauce when it comes to investing but if you think you’ve found it I wish you the best of luck.
@samsloma1 My understanding was we don’t have the permissions? I’ve had clients move to France etc and have had to refer them on elsewhere as can’t advise them if both adviser and client aren’t on UK soil.
If I’m wrong, I’m off to get my suitcase out the loft 😆
I wish I could do this in my profession. 6 months of the year doing my annual planning meetings on Zoom from sunny Portugal, the other 6 back here doing face to face etc.

@geobuywise101 @nicklincoln@AlanJLSmith@AdviserPodcast As much as I appreciate your generous offer Rob, I’ll stick to my long term 100% global equity buy and hold portfolio over your 60/40 portfolio you’ll fiddle with. The only thing I’ll do in a bear market is add any spare funds I have to my pot to benefit from the sale on offer 👍🏼
