The LCBO offers no value. They produce nothing, they only import, and all their revenue is is from taxation.
They also mark up prices by 50-200%. Why is the govt in the business of selling booze?
Maybe it's time Ontario steps into the 21st century and abolishes the LCBO.
So basically, Carney is saying:
Canadians will lose buying power, pay more for goods, and lose jobs, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make to save face with the “elbows up” crowd.
Bases loaded. Two outs. NY bobbles the ball. Vladdy jogs down the line and slows up before getting to the bag. Inning over. Joe and Dan say nothing @BlueJays
Canada might be the dumbest country on Earth. They sit next to the most powerful nation in the world and instead of piggybacking on that advantage, they chose hostility.
They could have been a prosperous country under the US security umbrella, but instead, they went full leftist and pretend like the future is being built in Europe or with China.
It's not. America is building the future.
All Canada had to do was ride our coattails, but they were too arrogant and ideological to do it.
They’re about to find out how much they actually need the US market. Things in Canada are already rough, but they are really in for a rude awakening.
Take a listen to Howard Stern after Djokovic was stopped from playing the Australian Open because he was unvaccinated.
What a spineless, pathetic coward. Stern represents the absolute worst of the pandemic.
If Poilievre had won the 2025 election, Canada would have a very different agenda by now. 🇨🇦
→ Lower taxes.
→ More homes being built.
→ Lower temporary immigration.
→ Faster pipelines & energy projects.
→ Less government waste.
→ Tougher on repeat criminals.
→ More power for provinces.
→ Fewer barriers to interprovincial trade.
You don’t have to agree with every Conservative policy. But after years of rising costs, Canadians deserve results, not excuses.
Our economy is in ruin, our kids can’t afford housing, zombies in every town, line ups at food banks, people being shot on our streets, but hey at least we have overpriced milk at the grocery stores and easy access to marijuana.
Conservatives are disappointed that the United States has chosen to impose further unjustified tariffs on Canada. They threaten the jobs and livelihoods of families right across our country.
Canadians must stand united to defend our country against these unfair attacks on our jobs and businesses. Canada cannot accept one-sided tariffs that will deindustrialize our country. Nor can we accept a bad deal. Instead, we must continue the fight for tariff-free trade. Later today, I will seek a call with the Prime Minister to discuss what we can do to fight for our workers, businesses, and economy. Conservatives will always put our country first.
Conservatives support action to protect Canadians and our industries targeted by these unfair U.S. tariffs.
We also need urgent economic reforms to restore growth, protect jobs and save our industry. That must include ending the industrial carbon tax, repealing anti-development laws, green lighting the 500 economic projects awaiting federal approval and major tax reforms to return investment to our country, reward work, and recharge our economy.
All Canadians must stand united for our workers, our businesses and our country.
