@JohnyJ_15 I think Loftin could be their all purpose guy next season. Can basically play anywhere on the field, usually takes good AB’s & is inexpensive.
No need to spend $$ on guys like Cavan Biggio & Mark Canha, et….
@JustBB_Media@clay_snowden2 That’s on the R’s if they thought he’d even be an AVERAGE defender.
He’s always been a poor defensive 2B.
Further, they expected him to rotate between 2B, 3B & LF…..when he’d never played anywhere except 2B for years.
His OBP is near his career avg, but, his SLG is way down.
@tbomb73 @RoyalReportKev Keep in mind, the same thing can be said for any of the teams in front of them.
Again, it’s mathematically possible, but, many things would have to fall in line for it to happen.
I’m still rooting for them to do it though.
@tbomb73 @RoyalReportKev Not trying to be negative, but, barring a miracle, this team is not headed to the postseason.
Mathematically speaking they’re still in it of course, but, realistically, they would have to climb over:
Mariners
Angels
Red Sox
Rangers
Twins
Indians
…to get the last wildcard.
@ShaunBurki@anne__rogers Honestly….it doesn’t really matter. Neither Waters or Rave is an answer. (Nor is Loftin.)
In 219 PA’s this season in KC, Waters is carrying a .603 OPS.
On the other hand, Rave has only had 60 PA’s.
The R’s probably want to see more of Rave, in hopes that something will click.
