- @SonicLabs, formerly Fantom blockchain, has announced the launch of Sonic mainnet, "a high-throughput, EVM-Compatible layer-1 blockchain," designed to offer developers attractive incentives and robust infrastructure.

- The Sonic blockchain boasts up to 10,000 transactions per second, sub-second finality, and a native gateway to the Ethereum network.

An Upgrade on Fantom:

- Sonic Labs reveals that the new blockchain will help developers create next-gen applications while offering users the smoothest blockchain experience in the industry.

- Following the launch, users can now upgrade their FTM tokens to S on Sonic on a 1:1 basis using the Sonic protocol upgrade portal.

- To upgrade, users need to connect Web3 wallets to the MySonic portal, enter the FTM amount, verify the amount, and approve the transaction.

- Developers are advised to refer to the Sonic documentation to learn how to deploy applications on the Layer One blockchain.
