🇨🇴 🤝 🇮🇱 COLOMBIA’S NEW GOVERNMENT MOVES TO REBUILD TIES WITH ISRAEL
Colombia’s new leadership is signaling a major shift. During FM Gideon Sa’ar’s visit for President Abelardo de la Espriella’s inauguration, the vice president was joined by the country’s foreign, defense, finance, justice, environment, and trade ministers in a high-level meeting.
Vice President Jose Manuel Restrepo: “You designated 2026 as a year for expanding its ties with Latin America.”
He added: “For Colombia, 2026 will be marked by the deepening and strengthening of its relationship with the State of Israel.”
¡Viva Colombia! ¡Viva Israel!
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to pass the torch and demote myself to my natural state: a poster. I'll be stepping back from leading product for 𝕏 and will continue on as an advisor.
Serving the X community has been the privilege of a lifetime. X is, and will remain, the most important communication technology in history. But running this app is a 24/7 job and it's now time for me to take a breather.
The app is seeing unprecedented growth in new users & engagement. We continue to break records every month. We've climbed 70 spots in the App Store since this time last year.
And in the last 400 days, we rebuilt almost every aspect of X: the Timeline, the Android app, onboarding, notifications, chat and more.
We also launched nearly 30 new products while protecting the integrity of the town square: becoming the first app to show Country-of-Origin on profiles and mounting defenses against AI bots. There's certainly much more work to be done, but our foundation is stronger than ever.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible team here. The next leaders will take X to even greater heights with @benjitaylor on design, @singhai on core product engineering and @dinkin_flickaa on mobile engineering -- among many other great people.
Thank you to Elon and the X team for welcoming me into the company. See you on the Timeline.
In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. Today I parted company with Tony Pontius who has run my record label BGP for a number of years. I wanted to release 'We Will Dance Again' but he was unequivocal and said 'I want nothing to do with this song' and I responded 'ok, we are done'.
When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win.
I will release it!
@johnsudarsky Impecable. Solo me atrevo a disentir de una línea: la de que esta cuenta la habrá de asumir el Pacto Histórico. Me temo que no la asumirá nadie, porque para pagar una deuda hay que empezar por reconocerla.
BOY GEORGE RELEASES PRO-ISRAEL SONG: “YOU NEVER MENTION OCTOBER 7”
Boy George has released “We Will Dance Again,” an overt defense of Israel following Hamas’s October 7 massacre.
The Culture Club icon rejects accusations of genocide, singing: “You say genocide / I say war / When you’re attacked / That’s what the army is for.”
Referencing the Nova massacre, he delivers an unequivocal message: “But if you’re ever confused / I stand with the Jews.”
On This Day — July 23, 1944: The Red Army walked into hell, and the world could no longer deny the industrial murder of the Jews.
Soviet soldier Bernhard Storch was among the first to enter Majdanek.
“We entered very carefully … barbed wire all around. We still thought it was an army barracks.”
Then they saw the chimney. The mountains of human ashes. The warehouses overflowing with clothing.
And then the shoes.
A vast open storage hall, floor to ceiling, filled with thousands upon thousands of pairs of shoes that were carefully sorted into men’s, women’s, and children’s.
Finally the “showers”: cement rooms with fake shower heads, peepholes in the steel doors, openings in the ceiling for the gas.
Majdanek was the first major Nazi death camp liberated largely intact. The evidence was still there: the gas chambers, crematoria, and the remains of hundreds of thousands of murdered Jews and others.
This was the moment the world got its first undeniable look inside the death factories.
The shoes. The ashes. The “showers.” Never forget what they found. Never allow it to happen again.
Zohran Mamdani’s five-word statement that Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal has been widely shared.
Many people think he’s just going after one Israeli leader. That reading is completely mistaken. In reality, Mamdani is posing as a fighter for justice and a self-appointed moral authority, taking advantage of the global outrage against Israel.
What he is actually pushing is his extreme political ideology through the core BDS project, Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, aimed at the eventual dismantling of Israel as a Jewish state, while also challenging capitalist America itself.
He was shaped by the intellectual world of Columbia University through his father, Mahmood Mamdani, a leading postcolonial scholar and longtime BDS advocate who was close friends with Edward Said.
The dinner-table debates on colonialism, Fanon, and the illegitimacy of ethno-religious states formed his worldview from childhood. He has never apologized for this inheritance.
He has backed BDS, defended the “from the river to the sea” slogan as a call for Palestinian rights, and stated he cannot support any state that privileges one religion, explicitly including the world’s only Jewish state.
Mr. Mamdani is not alone in this view. Philosopher Edward Said was firmly on the socialist side, sharply critical of capitalism and imperialism. This creates a clear social-communist-Islamic connection running through his father, Columbia University, and the broader movement that shaped him. It’s a belief system, built on hatred of Israel and, crucially, of America itself.
On July 4th he condemned America on the country’s own birthday. He wants not only to dismantle Israel but to reshape America into a fundamentally different outlook that rejects the capitalist foundations of the United States as we know it.
Now he holds the mayoralty of New York City, home to the largest Jewish community outside Israel. While promising free buses and affordable housing, he has delivered viral clips and moral signaling instead.
He understands that the current climate of disinformation, blood libel, and false genocide accusations against Israel is his moment. This is his time to capitalize on the fabricated global outrage supported by the same people he backs.
Mr. Mamdani is not only targeting the head of the state. He is targeting “the Zionist State”, an occupying colonial entity based on his father’s teachings and his anti-colonial background. He is also challenging capitalist America.
Understand his belief system and you see his real agenda.
