BREAKING NEWS: We filed a lawsuit challenging the president’s executive order threatening vote-by-mail.
The Constitution gives states – not the president – authority to run elections. Voting by mail is safe, secure, and trusted by Oregonians across the political spectrum. #orpol
Huge thanks to everyone who came out to the No Kings rally in Salem yesterday!
At the Oregon DOJ, we’re fighting every day to uphold our Constitution and the rule of law, and it’s great to see so many people taking a stand and making their voices heard.

BREAKING NEWS: Just now, we secured a court order on behalf of our multistate coalition: the judge ruled from the bench that healthcare decisions must stay with families and their providers, not the government. #orpol
Rayfield: This is a president who deliberately leads by fear, because that’s how he gets the outcomes he’s looking for. He creates primary dynamics where people are scared to say anything different — because if they do, he’ll try to compel their actions in Congress. He leads through fear.
It’s like a coach working the refs during a game — criticizing the referee to influence the outcome. He’s working the judges, inciting fear — so much so that you had the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court rebuke the president. For people who are worried, that’s actually a reassuring sign.
Now, is every ruling going to go our way in the courts? Of course not. But this is what he’s doing. Have you ever seen a president challenge the independent judiciary like this? When he doesn’t get a ruling he likes, he goes to Congress and tries to pressure members to pursue impeachment.
This is new — and it’s happening everywhere. It’s happening on free speech, where he’s using the FCC to pressure mainstream media outlets…
BREAKING NEWS: The U.S. Supreme Court just struck down the president’s unlawful tariffs under IEEPA, siding with Oregon and our multistate coalition.
