Great to see the National Physical Activity Framework launched this week by Ministers for Health, Culture, Communications and Sport, highlighting the cross sectoral nature of the work needed to fulfill the ambition of Ireland becoming the most physically active population in Europe by 2040. #HealthyIreland #PhysicalActivity #EveryMoveCounts
HSE Health and Wellbeing are working with the Regions and external partners on several strands of this work to support the integration of physical activity into the healthcare system. Examples include implementing the Making Every Contact Count Programme, promoting physical activity as a core part of care for people living with chronic conditions and promoting the National Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines for the general population.
