There are two kinds of problems: strong-link problems and weak-link problems.
Weak-link: quality depends on how good the *worst* things are
Strong-link: quality depends on how good the *best* things are
@questacon hey! I visited Questacon on the weekend and I'm hoping you can help me remember something? You have a screen (in 'Fundamental' maybe?) which overlays different patterns like concentric circles, hexagons, etc, to produce new patterns. What's the name of this effect?
@SLC_Repayment Hi, I'm trying to update my details but haven't logged into my account for years, so have forgotten my password. I need to update my contact details to log in, but I can't call your intl number. Do you have an email address? Otherwise there's no way for me to update.
@mattyj612 A couple I've read in the last couple of years which might appeal. Biased towards slightly weirder fiction:
No One Is Talking About This - Patricia Lockwood
My Father's Diet - Adrian Nathan West
The Sellout - Paul Beatty
Anything by Ottessa Moshfegh, especially Eileen.
@mattyj612 I think it's useful to read Sally Rooney's books for what they say about the modern literary zeitgeist, but I also found them frustrating. A good stepping off point though to compare other books against though.
