You can replace a laptop. You cannot replace your body.
As developers, founders and creatives, we spend hours sitting, staring at screens and pushing through stress because there is always one more task to finish.
But what is the point of building the future if we’re slowly destroying our health while doing it?
That is why we’re having this conversation at Blockfuse Labs tomorrow.
Medical professionals will be speaking with us about screen time, prolonged sitting, stress and work-life balance. There’ll also be blood pressure screening, counselling and indoor games.
The work is important, but so is the person doing it.
Day 7 (English) of reminding you why you should avoid the Sahara Desert and Mediterranean Sea.
You will sleep in the worst possible places: on the sand in the open, in dungeons without bathroom or toilet, on trucks, underneath trucks, in the cold, in the scorching sun, on farms without sanitary facilities.
I once went undercover in a Nigerian police cell for 5 days and a prison for 8 days, but trust me when I say I was more comfortable in a police cell and the prison than I was in the desert.
#NoToLibya
We’ve been building together. Now we’re about to compete ⚽️
This Thursday, two amazing Web3 communities @blockfuselabs and @Afriverseworld are leaving the laptops behind and taking things to the football pitch at Games Fusion Football Field, Rayfield Jos
One match. Two communities. Full bragging rights.
Who are you supporting: Blockfuse Labs or AfriVerse?
Choose carefully 😂
If you hate #Obidients because they are fighting for a BETTER Nigeria!

After years of theoretical learning, i decided it was time to get hands-on and put the knowledge into practice @blockfuselabs. 2 weeks in the practical experience has been intense! The journey has just begun.
I'm matching the energy. Meet me up there🚀#BlockfuseLabs
I just voted for Naija Wordsmiths in the CANEX Create-Thon 2026, powered by Gebeya and Afreximbank. Take a look and cast your vote too: https://t.co/aRcDePucBg
You have four stock cubes in your kitchen, and you have probably never stopped to read what is inside them.
Turn the wrapper over and look at the ingredients.
Salt comes first.
Then a flavour enhancer.
Then starch, colour, and only a small amount of ingredients that actually came from food.
So, the cube is mainly salt and flavour enhancers, made to make your food taste stronger.
And you are paying more for it than you would pay for salt.
The bigger problem is that these cubes have replaced foods that can give your soup real flavour.
Here is what you can use instead.
› Iru or dawadawa: Add 1 tablespoon early while cooking. It breaks down into the soup and gives it a deep, fermented flavour. This is one of the natural flavours the stock cube is trying to imitate.
› Ground crayfish: Add 2 tablespoons to a family-sized pot. It gives the soup a deep, savoury taste and also adds protein.
› Ogiri: For egusi or bitterleaf soup, use just ½ teaspoon. It has a strong flavour, so you do not need much.
› Dried fish: Soak it in hot water for 20 minutes first. Then add both the fish and that soaking water to your soup. Do not throw the water away because it contains a lot of the fish's flavour.
› Onion and fresh pepper: Use these to build more flavour in the soup.
› Salt: Add the salt yourself. This way, you know exactly how much salt is going into your food instead of getting most of it from a cube.
Now, here is the part you should expect.
Your first soup without the cube may not taste as strong.
That does not necessarily mean the food has no flavour. Your tongue has been used to the strong taste from flavour enhancers for years, so natural flavours may seem weak at first.
The second pot should taste better.
By the third, your taste buds can start adjusting. You may even notice that the stock cube has a strange, chemical-like taste that you did not notice before.
So do not try to change everything at once.
Make just one pot this week without a stock cube.
Just one.
Then see how it tastes.
Last night I entered the kitchen and saw a cockroach trying to sneak in under the door from outside.
I went and brought out insecticide and puffed once; the cretin quickly snuck back to where it was coming from.
I pufffffffff under the door to discourage any other attempts to enter, then used the foot mat to block the entrance
It occurred to me that this is what we need to do to stop this government from coming back to rule this country again.
Thank you @devseyi for writing this helpful article.
