I'm excited to share my author website. Get a sneak peek into THE NOTECARD MAN (suspense/thriller novel) and AWAKENING (fantasy novel) - I'd love to hear what you think. If you're interested in full manuscripts, send me an email! Thank you for your support https://t.co/g9exrAJInR
Biggest letdown ever would be if we actually were the most advanced life forms in the galaxy. The aliens would be like, teach us your ways, and then go back and kill each other, destroy their planet to try to make more money, and eliminate their offspring’s ability to learn.
@GrampsToolshed I recently reread Last Command and still love it. I think the story seems so fluid and believable as to what might happen after the events of Return of the Jedi. And the villains and villain backstories are excellent.
"Write for one person" helps with consistency of message and in putting parameters around what's most valuable to share. Even more than that, it helps filter out the noise about the impressions, engagements and popularity you’re told you should be seeing and chasing.
Speed, quality, cost: pick two, because you can't have all three. Gen AI hasn’t changed the truth in this statement.
You’re taking a risk either way. Going cheap means you have to be OK with the consequences of lower quality. Higher cost means more pressure for the idea to work.
This year’s @DallasStars seem like they’re having so much fun. I was able to watch warmups with my son at a recent game and the smiles and laughter really showed up across the board. It comes across in practice and interviews too. It’s something you love to see as a fan!
Meaning isn’t some abstract or “woo-woo” idea—it’s a three-part framework that shapes our lives in profound ways:
Believing: A set of ideas to make sense of the world.
Belonging: The emotional sense that your life matters to you and others.
Becoming: The pursuit of excellence through clear goals.
These pillars—coherence, significance, and purpose—are essential for navigating life.
They help us answer life’s biggest questions: Why do things happen? Who and what matters? Where am I going?
Here’s the kicker: research shows a clear sense of meaning can improve your physical health, financial success, and even happiness. It’s the cornerstone that lifts every part of life.
I'm discussing meaning each week this year on my podcast. Episodes will be live for a week, after which time I'll erase the old episode and upload a new reflection on meaning.
I hope you'll enjoy and share:

@davegerhardt My sense is that’s the right way to do it, though. You get the message right first in the organic court of public opinion, then boost what you know already works. In my experience, many companies are doing it backwards.
@RobertTiffin I’m so glad you posted this. What a great interview and you’re 100% right about the vulnerability. Also, good on the hosts for their encouragement and for having this kind of space for players.
