There's a contrast between science and "the science" as it relates to covid. Actual science promotes the questioning of current worldviews and the collection of data to support or oppose your ideas. The phrase "The science" is used almost exclusively to combat any actual science.

@Owennfa Feeling bad for people is uniquely human. We're the only animal that goes out of their way to help a creature that needs help. Some businesses have used this empathy so they can keep a bigger cut of the money pie. Others see it works so they do it too

@AbakpaJob Generally "unskilled labor" means a job that takes little training. You're equating effort and skill. In terms of jobs there's a negative correlation between the two.

@Dylanszn01 Layoffs and rehiring. They aren't required to raise the hiring rate. As a result everyone will work 2 32 hour jobs to afford rent instead of a 40 hour job. Congratulations you turned the 40 hour work week into a 64 hour work week
