@Rivian@RJScaringe I know you all don't want to be political (and I applaud you for that; focus on making great cars), but I'd be trying to build brand loyalty and take advantage of this particular moment in history as much as possible. That EV Valley of Death is no joke.
@Rivian tried to move on from our Model 3 for an R1S. So excited for many reasons. After multiple delays, poor customer service, it finally arrived damaged. Your response, "maybe we can find you another one?", not "how do we make this right?" Do you sell cars? #TeslaTakedown
Many people are wondering about whatโs happening on U.S. campuses.
While I canโt speak about all other college campuses, I can definitely give you an insiderโs view about @Columbia University.
(this thread may be a bit long, but trust me: it's worth it)
@1james_elder@IsaCNN Yemen had one of the worst Cholera outbreaks in history. Thousands of children died. Inverse relationship between rage about disease-related death anywhere else in the world, and Gaza. Helps when 10,000s Gaza advocates work for the UN.
@yourheartdoc1@jonathanalter@JReinerMD Given that most Palestinians embrace the Hamas atrocities of Oct 7, and many regular Palestinians took part in the same atrocities, it's not that much of a logical leap.
@JamesSurowiecki He's clearly upset with them, but I get the sense that he doesn't think they're a lost cause and remain a world class institution. Obviously more concerned about their priorities and direction, and of course the fact that he (and they) lost a ton of money.
@JamesSurowiecki I think it's wrong to dismiss people's concerns about cost of living the increases. Perception is reality, and for many, their concerns about high costs are very real. There is a disconnect between traditional indicators of economic health and people's wallets.
@CDCgov None of these vaccines are great at limiting spread. They are, however, great at limiting serious illness and death. You all still can't get your messaging right...and what's worse, true to govt bureaucracy this message likely went through a dozen layers of approval.
@antonioguterres Even though you never tried in places like Ukraine, Iran, China and countless other places where far worse humanitarian atrocities occur regularly.
@JReinerMD This is why their institutions should let them go. Even when allowed to provide open-ended answers, they failed to defend their institutions. Saying they supported free speech while denouncing hate speech isn't hard unless you've fostered an environment of hate at your schools.
@JReinerMD Ironic that the one who was fired (so far) is a "prestigious" law school professor, but couldn't manage to defend herself or her institution
@elikowaz I'm sure she'd love living under Hamas rule. I hear it's great for free-thinking, secular, educated people. Life in Ramallah seems awful for her.
@yudapearl Unless targeted hate and anti-semitism was their vision...? It's clear Israel as a state and people don't mesh with the vision of a DEI utopia and the decolonization narrative.
