@Reedhpec@LunatikRose Yea you're right, not everything happens on twitter dot com, which is why focusing on who's following who doesn't help anything at all :/
The thing that's most disheartening is when it is confirmed this individual was genuinely experiencing a mental health crisis, the people who were joking so openly about it went dead silent. I've unfollowed every single one I saw atp. This community has a group think problem
@Reedhpec my "consistensy". like i said, stop being a loser. you're missing the point of the conversation at hand which is simply to not fucking minimize the subject of self-exiting and handle it with care. if you actually agreed with me you wouldnt be trying to fight me over crumbs
@Reedhpec also thinking following someone = support is literally the most juvenile, terminally online way to look at something. even if i hadnt unfollowed kayla, or anyone you deem necessary to unfollow, im hardly on twitter as is lol and you say you care, but youre still harping on
@Reedhpec assuming I should be privy to literally every detail in a social situation is crazy. that's not about consistency at all. and the talking point is what happened to spongey, not whatever the fuck dreamy did in whatever time. it's weird and super selective to look at it this way.
@Reedhpec@LunatikRose The inconsistency that didn't exist. Such a pathetic attempt at a gotcha. Again, where's this energy where it matters and why the sock puppet account? Loser.
@Reedhpec Just checked again cuz you had me wondering if I had and yes I most certainly did hello lmao so weird for you to care more about that if you're so concerned about how shitty their participation is call THEM out on it too. Redirect that energy!
that should have been approached with tact and empathy is genuinely so awful.. I really hope people feel ashamed and can see that the damage is already done when people grieving can't even turn to their community for solace and understanding. That's the last I'll say.
The worst thing about what happened today was seeing people who were close and care about this person express hopelessness in refuting what was happening. To hear "what's the point. It won't fix anything and people will not care or just continue to joke about it" over a situation
put many, many community members in a vulnerable place with ideation. I really hope everyone and anyone who spoke so flippantly on this subject reflects and reconsiders how their apathy and lack of critical thinking only promoted further harm.
that is compounded so heavily by a sense of wanting to feel accepted by their peers. The way a situation like this snowballs because people want to be "on the side that counts" is so unfortunate when it's that same sense of acceptance and rampant rejection that has repeatedly
