You can't tell me a Filipino can't play in the NBA. It can't be just the height as proven by Japan's Kawamura. We see a lot of Filipino players with the skill set to make it but you gotta wonder what else is missing and how the coaches here teach the game

@MiamiHeatSavant Something's not adding up though..I don't think Spo would just kill his stock by just intentionally not playing him..Ware must've done or said something.. either way, HEAT can't give up a lot if they want to please Giannis should they acquire him if they want to compete this year
@ShamsCharania I think Atlanta should gamble here, considering they're about to be in the Play-In..so they can dethrone the 3 time Play-In Champions, the Miami Heat ๐คฃ
Why MAIFIP Undermines Universal Health Care
Social programs like MAIFIP may look helpful on paper โ but in reality, they function as discretionary funds that open the door to a new form of pork barrel. As Iโve said, โKawawa ang taongโbayan dito.โ
And this is exactly why so many Filipinos are uneasy.
MAIFIP does not strengthen Universal Health Care.
It sidesteps it.
Under the UHC Law, every Filipino should have automatic, rulesโbased access to care through PhilHealth.
No gatekeepers.
No endorsements.
No politics.
But MAIFIP creates a parallel, discretionary system where access depends on letters, offices, and influence.
Thatโs not universal care โ
thatโs selective care.
If we want a health system that truly protects every Filipino, we must defend UHC and reject any mechanism that brings us back to patronageโbased access to health services.

@HomerSayson I mean, that's not really a tall lineup per se with only 3 guys exceeding 6'5..and I think Gilas outplays them if they focus on defense for offensively, especially with the guards we have, are way better than this bunch (assuming we play for each other that is)
Long term deposits of 5 years and over were exempt from the 20% tax. That was to encourage the public to save long term and focus on their futures.
But now, DOF Secretary and PhilHealth Board Director Ralph Recto wants all deposits charged with a 20% tax.
This disincentivises savings, an option that is already low among Filipinos since high inflation robs them of disposable income.
It effectively penalizes savers.
The public will have nowhere to go since bonds are also charged a 20% tax.
@MiamiHEAT Damn 42 bench points from Mitchell, Anderson and Highsmith ๐ Plus 3 from Josh Christopher...Huge confidence booster for Miami this late in the season ๐๐ป
