OpenAI's AI broke out of a locked test environment, got onto the internet, and hacked into Hugging Face's servers. It did this entirely on its own. No human told it to.
Here's what happened in plain English.
OpenAI was testing how good its newest AI models are at hacking. They put the AI on a locked computer with no internet access and gave it a cybersecurity challenge to solve.
The AI couldn't solve it the normal way. So it started looking for a way out.
It found a software bug that nobody knew about. It used that bug to escape the locked computer and get onto the internet.
Once online, the AI figured out that Hugging Face, a platform where AI companies store their models and data, might have the answers to its test.
It found stolen login details and discovered another unknown bug in Hugging Face's software. It combined both to break into their servers and grab the test answers.
It did all of this to cheat on a test.
Hugging Face's security team caught it and shut it down. Both companies are now working together on the investigation.
The part that should get your attention is that nobody programmed any of this. The AI picked its own targets, chained together multiple attack methods, and pulled it off across two different companies' systems without a single human telling it what to do.
For many who watched this video, it was a warning from the future.

‼️‼️🇺🇦🇷🇺 BIG | Kyiv's air power modernization has crossed a historic threshold, confirming the first-ever direct air-to-air kill by a Ukrainian F-16 against a frontline Russian fighter.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine officially verified that a Ukrainian-piloted F-16 Fighting Falcon shot down a Russian Su-35 Flanker-E in aerial combat. The engagement marks a milestone for Ukraine’s air force, representing the first combat-confirmed air-to-air victory achieved by western-supplied fighters since their deployment to the theatre.
This air-to-air kill shatters the operational dominance Russian air assets previously enjoyed over contested frontline airspace. By successfully locking onto and destroying Moscow's premier multirole fighter—a machine long touted for its maneuverability and advanced radar suite—Ukrainian pilots have proven that modern Western tactics, combined with advanced Beyond-Visual-Range (BVR) missile integration, can systematically neutralize Russia's high-end tactical aviation and reshape the battle for air superiority.

Syed Saddiq reveals how MPs and Ministers receive multiple “stacked pensions”.
Many people don’t realize what a “Stacked Pension” actually means.
When a regular civil servant like a nurse or teacher retires after 30 years, they receive only one consolidated pension.
But for politicians, the laws allow them to stack multiple pensions simultaneously for the different roles throughout their careers, despite serving just one term
For example:
• Lim Guan Eng: Eligible for 4 pensions (MP + Cabinet Minister + ADUN + Chief Minister)
• Hannah Yeoh: Eligible for 4 pensions (MP + Cabinet Minister + ADUN + State Speaker)
We shall abolish stacked pension scheme for politicians.
The Edge melaporkan bahawa Kem.
Twelve years ago, Russia shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, killing 298 innocent people.
Today, we remember every victim and stand with their families, and all the nations that lost their loved ones on that tragic day. The downing of MH17 was nothing but a terrorist act. Russia has made such terror against civilians a defining feature of its policy – toward its neighbors, the world more broadly, and even its own people.
It is important to ensure that the world doesn’t turn a blind eye and that for every Russian crime – both against Ukrainians and against other people – there is justice and accountability.

Today, the Federal Court finally upheld Syed Saddiq’s acquittal in a 2-1 decision, ending a massive 6-year legal battle. But the story shouldn't end here. We need to talk about the alarming MACC misconduct exposed during this trial. A thread 🧵👇
Ukraine is writing the manual every military on earth will read for the next twenty years.
Ukraine has done something no army has done before. A naval drone carried a combat robot to an occupied shoreline on the Kinburn Spit and put it on the beach. The machine – armed with a machine gun – went to work against russian positions, run remotely by operators of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade. No one had to swim to that beach. No one had to die on it.
Ground robots are not new. Naval drones are not new. What is new is the chain: an unmanned boat delivering an armed unmanned vehicle onto a defended shore and conducting an assault, with human beings nowhere near the fire.
The Kinburn Spit is a sandbar. No cover, no easy resupply. The kind of place where a landing means paying in blood before you have accomplished anything at all. And Ukraine’s scarcest resource has never been courage or ammunition. It has been people.
That is the point. Russia’s whole theory of victory rests on one arithmetic – that it can spend lives faster than Ukraine can. Every technology that substitutes machines for men attacks that assumption directly. The drone did it in the air. The naval drone did it at sea. Now it has come ashore.
Innovation under pressure is not a luxury. It is the only thing a smaller nation has. Ukraine built this because it had neither resources nor time – and necessity is the most honest engineer there is.
Everyone will copy it. Ukraine is not only fighting a war. It is writing the manual every military on earth will read for the next twenty years.
"The borders of no state can be changed by force or without the consent of the people of that country." - President Aliyev
Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon asked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev several questions during the Shusha Global Media Forum in Baku.
Key statements:
▪️ "Never accept occupation. And that is exactly what Ukraine is doing: it does not accept occupation. Although there have been difficult moments this year. We have heard about pressure from certain circles to end the fighting in a way that would cement the occupation. But neither the Ukrainian people nor Ukraine's leadership agreed to that."
▪️President Aliyev reiterated that Azerbaijan's position remains unchanged: it has always supported, continues to support, and will continue to support Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and the inviolability of its borders.
"The borders of no state can be changed by force or without the consent of the people of that country. Our position is consistent and firm.
And we are always ready to help the Ukrainian people in any way we can. I do not want to say much about this. We’re not doing this just to talk about it. It simply comes from the heart," President Aliyev added.
Tony Pua is entitled to his opinion, but I fear he is also constructing his own alternate reality.
Rather than ask why so many Johoreans rejected his PH colleagues in favour of BN, he chooses to blame @partibersamamy voters for daring to seek an alternative to the same stale slate of dinosaur parties.
On what basis does Tony assume that all those who voted for BERSAMA would have voted for PH - they might have voted for other parties or stayed at home altogether.
Votes must be earned. They do not belong to any party or coalition by right. This lack of introspection and humility is precisely one of the reasons why voters are turning away from PH.
BERSAMA will continue working to offer Malaysians a more constructive and credible alternative to all the current parties and coalitions.
Parti Bersama has been accused by Tony Pua of being a “spoiler” that contributed to BN’s victory. A few points should be made, in addition to those that have already been made by @Thevesh
1. Far-fetched to assume BERSAMA votes are transferrable to PH.
While BERSAMA's votes in Bukit Batu and Perling indeed larger than the winning majority, Tony’s argument makes a much bigger assumption: that every vote for BERSAMA would have gone to PH had BERSAMA not contested.
Some BERSAMA voters were fence-sitters. Some voted for BERSAMA precisely because they were unhappy with PH. Without BERSAMA, they might have stayed home, or even voted for BN. One could just as easily argue that BN’s majority in Bukit Batu and Perling might have been larger without BERSAMA. Neither claim can be proven simply by adding and subtracting votes.
2. Johor Jaya contradicts the spoiler narrative.
Johor Jaya was a PH-held seat that fell to BN. Yet BERSAMA received only 2,051 votes, far below BN’s winning majority. Applying Tony’s own logic, BERSAMA should have been a spoiler there, but we clearly did not determine the outcome there.
3. BERSAMA did not change the result in any UMNO-won seat.
In all the seats contested by BERSAMA, PH and UMNO, where UMNO emerged victory, PH would still have lost even if 100% of BERSAMA’s votes had been transferred to PH.
4. Votes belong to voters, not politicians/political party.
In a democracy, no party is entitled to anyone’s vote. A vote for BERSAMA is not a PH vote that has been “taken away”. They cannot assume that every voter who rejects them naturally belongs to their camp. Tony’s argument therefore appears to cherry-pick Bukit Batu and Perling to support a convenient narrative, while ignoring the other 13 seats contested by BERSAMA.
Many of us have long respected Tony Pua for his work on 1MDB. That is why this attack is particularly disappointing.
Instead of pointing fingers at a party that is barely two month old, it's best that PH/DAP leaders start reflecting on their own performance.
Ukraine Is Becoming China's Military Laboratory
For years, many insisted that China was a "neutral" actor in russia's war against Ukraine. But the joint investigation by The Insider, Der Spiegel, and Le Monde showed that it is not the case.
According to the leaked documents, China reportedly proposed providing artificial intelligence technologies and the industrial capacity to mass-produce autonomous drone swarms. In return, russia would supply real combat data from the battlefield in Ukraine.
The documents also describe plans to undermine Starlink through a combination of cyberattacks, electronic warfare, diplomatic pressure, and even the development of low-cost weapons capable of targeting satellites in orbit.
The reported cooperation doesn't stop there. The investigation also describes discussions on advanced air and missile defense technologies and an expanding military partnership that goes well beyond the trade in so-called "dual-use" goods.
These findings paint a disturbing picture. Ukraine is not only fighting russia - it is unwillingly serving as the proving ground where China can study modern warfare, test emerging technologies, and refine weapons that could be used in future conflicts against the US and Europe.
This is no longer just a Ukrainian war.
China has become the second country in the world with an orbital-class launcher system with first-stage booster recovery through controlled reentry and propelled landing.
After delivering its payload to low Earth orbit, The Long March 10B had its booster landing on a recovery ship in the South China Sea with a net-and-hook system.
@SpaceX has more than a decades lead on the Chinese, with Starship being at a completely different position in this space race but the Chinese are clearly going to be putting a lot of effort into trying to catch up.
It’s remarkable that the Europeans have been so slow to start experimenting with these technologies.
ESA and ArianeGroup have been slow off their feet and both the Themis and Callisto programs are still very far from pulling off what the Chinese did today and miles and miles away from being able to do what SpaceX does.
Trump asking whether he (President Zelenskyy) would go to Moscow, who then responds:
„It is difficult to go to Moscow thanks to the many Ukrainian drones. (…) It is too dangerous.“
I almost fell from my chair laughing.
