@Patrickchito I think he'll stay and play for the youth team for a while, that way he's playing regularly. Rather than coming off the bench for a club on loan.
@thegingerwig Yes, he'd need to be loaned to clubs in England or stay at City for 3 years to be classed as HG. 3 years at City before 21 would make him HG and club grown/trained.
They only count as 21 (thus having to registered as part of the squad) if their 21 before 1st Jan of the next szn
@OGleftie@EnolaJon The faux outrage and moral superiority of all these ppl is a thing to behold !! Where were your comments about Sudan, Myanmar and China?
@Angieeclectic@EricBlair_84@GBPolitcs@ShabanaMahmood ECHR can overrule if the person is at risk of death/torture after being deported. So that'll be what the paedo's solicitor will say.
Shame really, it's what he deserves.
@PoliPulsecom123@PetraVanDeVen@Incognito_qfs If Hamas had their way, Israel wouldn't exist. You accuse Israel of being Zionest yet appear to support self-determination of an(other) Arab state.
@claireharr@ShoaibMKhan@thetimes That's an accusation you can lay at anyone's door, it's not fair to assume how well a child will do in their later working life based on what their parents do.
@claireharr@ShoaibMKhan@thetimes School is more an investment, in terms of spending, imo. The hope is that the kids turn into working/tax-paying adults.
I get your point on a wider scale though, we should refrain from bringing people in who have more children than can be supported on the person's salary.
@ShoaibMKhan@claireharr@thetimes Partners and children are reasonable to bring with you. I don't believe each of the 12 care workers had 15 children/partners each.
@bigjayowen@bobblebardsley@anon_opin Without a free market, technological improvements and freedom of choice don't exist to anywhere near the level we have now. If there wasn't a free market, you wouldn't have apple
So I don't think this is the gotcha you think it
@CraigUntlNytTym@anon_opin The Cambridge dictionary doesn't say "profit above anything else" in it's definition. To make a continued profit, a company has to think about consumer wants/needs as well as profits.
You can't make a profit without selling something that isn't needed or popular.
@CraigUntlNytTym@anon_opin There'd be far less choice without capitalism though. You remove the ability to make a profit then modern consumer technology isn't anywhere near what it is now.
@bobblebardsley@anon_opin That wasn't really my point. My point was that anon talks of smashing capitalism despite likely enjoying the benefits of it (choice and technological advancement for consumer goods)
