Retium introduces Proof of Math (PoM), a consensus model built around deterministic mathematical coordination rather than mining. Validators stake RTM while mathematical rules help coordinate block production, aiming for predictable and secure network operation.

Rather than asking every validator to perform every task, Retium distributes responsibilities across specialized validator roles. Transaction fees don't need to be unpredictable. Retium introduces Logic-Weight Fees, where fees are based on the computational logic required to execute a transaction instead of users competing through gas auctions. The goal is a fee model that is easier for both users and developers to understand.

Artificial Intelligence is becoming part of modern software. Retium introduces RAI as an AI-powered assistant designed to analyze network activity, provide insights, and improve the developer experience. Importantly, RAI does not participate in consensus or block validation, keeping governance and validation separate from AI.
