@thefatdoctoruk ADHD here, and being overheated is 100% panic inducing. Hot weather is unpleasant but walking into an overheated room and not being able to cool off by removing layers is a meltdown for sure.
@united That was the point of tweeting, that on-demand agents were not on demand at all. Ended up queueing for hours, then the counter CS person had to wait on hold for 45 min to confirm my changes anyway.
@united literally nothing happening when I try to get through on other app apart from timing out. Stranded at EWR bc of weather - not your fault - but would like help finding a hotel and understanding standby
EVERYONE, THE CHEF FROM BROS REPLIED TO MY REVIEW AND IT IS JUST AS RIDICULOUS AS YOU WOULD HAVE HOPED AND I AM SCREAMING WITH JOY.

#ObjectOfTheMonth for December is the magical 'A Quiet Afternoon in the Cloud Cuckoo Valley', on display in our Textiles Gallery 🚂
Designed and built by the creator behind the inventions in 'Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang', it's here until spring 2022: https://t.co/GwwpmWk5WL
@ColinJCarlson That feels like the reply of someone who hasn't had their authority questioned in way too long. Which tracks with what I know of people who get to name labs after themselves 😐
Use a mind map to plan your projects, they told me.
Mind maps will solve all your ADHD related problems narrowing your focus and planning your arguments, they said.
Me explaining my first academic paper in 15 years:
@brett_batten This is singularly unhelpful and invalidating. In the throes of mental illness I didn't know what I needed to help me out of it. After three decades of being told I was just lazy/needed to get organised, I didn't know what would be a reasonable adjustment for my neurodiversity.
@ErynnBrook I body slammed him into a waist high fence while screaming about how it wasn't fair and he didn't get to speak to anyone like that and I'd asked him NICELY to stop. He pitched up at the office crying about a bruise on his back and I told my truth.
He got the phone call home.
@ErynnBrook I was 9, long blonde(ish) hair, big glasses, hella awkward. Playground bully made a sport of following me round making dumb blonde jokes for WEEKS. I told teachers, I ignored him, and eventually snapped.
Yes, I am the knitter with teal hair at #Museums2021.
Yes, you may squish the knitting if you ask first.
Yes, I have ADHD, what makes you ask 😅
Talk to me about social justice!
I've been trying to be really *present* in sessions at #museums2021 - no shade if you're tweeting, I can't avoid getting unrecoverably distracted by my phone! - and my big takeaway so far is the importance of emotion to our professional practice.
But acknowledge, process, provide and receive support. Make space for everyone's feelings: staff, visitors, partners, community. Understand everyone needs differently shaped space for their feelings. #Museums2021
