It looks like someone at the Scotland Office told BBC Scotland early this morning that Labour will only hand back £300m of the £500m lost to Scotland's public sector because of the NI hike. The broadcaster started spinning the info before the Scottish Govt even knew about it.

Handing leaks like this to friendly media outlets for them to spin on your behalf is nothing new. The thing is that BBC Scotland shouldn't be used in this manner. It's supposed to be an impartial public service.
