@_andychung@read_cv@perplexity_ai Man, this was a great product with a genuine community, and so many cool projects showcased. Congrats but it’s really sad that it’s just going to suddenly end like that.
@def__ai @eliasmakos Have had similar experiences in Vancouver, huge pain to get ahold of a doctor for a simple blood test requisition. I gave up on trying to wrangle with Canada’s healthcare. I now just order the tests online and drive to Bellingham. Much better and faster experience.
@olicodes @levelsio In most states you can order tests online (I think excl NY and NJ).
Just did mine for the first time recently, found lowest prices through https://t.co/YNxTliaHlM
Order the tests, then walk into any Quest Diagnostics lab, results came in 1-5 days
@CrisGiardina@yacineMTB Going through the public education system in Alberta I can definitely vouch for it being quite rigorous in technical topics, I’ve heard other provinces less so. Senior non-AP classes often reached into college level, it laid a great foundation for math and physics.
If I have this right, we built an interconnected network of computers so that scientists could exchange information better and then, after a couple of decades, regular people hopped on the network and fed it with whatever came to their minds and then we fed all of that back into some fancy sand used to play video games and then made ourselves redundant
@MichaelAlleged@francip@alicemazzy Not always true unfortunately, my mother is a US citizen but I am not eligible to have citizenship due to a physical presence requirement she didn’t meet.
@reecehowe@awilkinson@AeroPress A premium model was announced a few months ago and is made with glass. But it doesn’t appear to be officially out yet. https://t.co/vI13IifxSv
@sdw@Sbstndalton@elliottkember I too use a 30” Cinema Display (made in 2004!!) with a current gen Mac, still a superb experience. Doesn’t feel obsolete aside from the thickness and some display ghosting. XDR will also be good for decades
