NEW: The US and Iran ended 21+ hours of talks in Islamabad yesterday without reaching agreement on a wide range of core issues, according to a US official. These include dealing with Iran's enriched uranium, a broader framework for a long-term peace that includes allies in the region, and a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
