Saw the Jennie Lee play at Carnegie Hall tonight (the one in Dunfermline, not New York) and I’m thinking:

That’s a brilliant venue for plays. Why aren’t more put on there? One of those proper pros arch spaces out with the Central Belt that merits a lot more.

Post this every year so here goes. Drama school first years. You'll be starting very soon. This may not be of any use but here's a few things me and some pals found useful in first year:

1. Shop on a Sunday. Everything's reduced.

5. The first 2 weeks are the honeymoon period. It's brilliant. This passes.
6. The next is the 'hitting my head against a brick wall, I can't do it' period. This also passes. Trust us.
7. Keep in contact with folks from home you love and trust. They will be your strength.

Saw Jesus Christ Superstar live for the first time tonight. Aye I know Lloyd Webbers universally panned, isnae Sondheim etc. but it’s one of my favourites.

To hear that music. Played live by an amazing band. Jesus Christ.
