🚨🗣️🇮🇹 Alessandro Nesta on Italy missing three consecutive FIFA World Cups:
"It's unbelievable."
"My son is almost 18 years old and has never seen Italy play at a World Cup."
"When I tell him we actually won the World Cup, he almost doesn't believe me."
"He says, 'Really?' That's how strange it sounds to his generation."
"For kids today, Italy at the World Cup feels like a story from another era." 🇮🇹💔
The UK has the right to revoke the work visas of Argentine footballers in the English Premier League and throw their players out of the country. They can hold up their stupid anti-British signs back in Argentina.
PETER HITCHENS: The Tories should be careful saying that Andy Burnham will drag us back to the 1970s. I was there - and it was a far BETTER time https://t.co/KF10IUvmkG
A common sight across Britain. Overfilled public rubbish bins with litter strewn across pavements, roads and car parks. We are paying increased amounts of council tax and not even getting the basics back in return.
🚨🇮🇹 Italian Federation new director Paolo Maldini: “We have approached Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola”.
“We wanted to start talking with the best world class managers to understand if they could be available for Italy job”. 👀
🚨🗣️🇮🇹 Alessandro Del Piero on why Italian football has declined:
"Yes, football has changed. Years ago defenders could do many things that today would immediately be a yellow card or even a red card. The rules are completely different now."
"One of Italy's biggest problems is that we've lost part of our defensive identity. That was always our greatest strength."
"Spain adapted much better because they already had a philosophy built around keeping possession, controlling games, and playing football."
"Now Spain wins tournaments at every level men's football, women's football, and youth football. That shows the strength of their footballing structure and identity."
"Italy always built its identity around defending. It was something unique that made us successful for generations."
"If you made a list of the 100 greatest defenders in football history, I believe around 25 of them would be Italian. That tells you everything about what Italy represented."
Madrid superstar and England midfielder Jude Bellingham has opened up about the heated World Cup match between England and Argentina.
“Messi and the Argentines are rough,” Bellingham said. “They were calling me and other black players monkeys. I reported it to the referee but he did nothing about it. There were so many fouls that were not awarded. The World Cup completely favours them and it’s unfair.”
He also slammed the refereeing, pointing to a string of unpunished fouls, late challenges, and decisions that he believes tilted the game heavily in Argentina’s favour.
“It feels like the whole tournament is set up for them,” Bellingham added. “We come out here to compete fairly, but it’s not fair when the rules don’t apply the same way.”
🚨🇦🇷 NEW: Over 23 million people from 170 countries have signed a petition demanding that Argentina be banned from all future World Cups
The petition is one of the most signed in history
I’m giving thousands of pubs, clubs and music venues a 20% cut in business rates.
I won’t stand by while these cherished local spaces disappear, replaced by boarded-up windows and ‘For Sale’ signs.
They’re the heart of our communities and it’s time we backed them.
🗣️ Javier Hernández:
“I think there should be a proper review of all the matches Argentina played at the World Cup. The obvious cheating was there, but almost all of the calls were in Argentina’s favor.
They have been doing this in the Copa América too. Messi and Argentina’s relationship with the FIFA president should be investigated because, when I still watch some of those clips, I keep asking myself why these things are happening in football. It’s ruining the sport.”
When Argentina lost on penalties against Germany in the 2006 World Cup, this is what happened.
The post-Messi era is going to hit Argentina harder than they’ve hit anybody else. Dark times ahead for that country. Just look at the post-Maradona and pre-Messi era. And Enzo is retiring.

🚨Cape Verde President on the game vs Argentina:
“We are a hardworking nation. The world saw it with the commitment of our boys. Sometimes it’s just not possible to win when your opponent has something extra outside the pitch but we’re happy with how far we went.”
"I doubt this FIFA will impose any severe sanctions on Argentina," Latin America expert @michaelreid52 tells #EuropeToday.
He also says there has been "almost no self-criticism" among Argentina's players over their World Cup behaviour, which has drawn widespread condemnation.
