Shoutout to @Creator_Venture portco, Feels, for smashing past $10M ARR, doubling revenue in six months! 📈 @DanielCheaib
Feels is changing how Gen Z date, prioritising personality over looks through stories and videos. They did it with:
- less than $5M total funding
- team of < 12
- profitable P&L
- not yet launching major markets (US/UK)
This is what focus and efficiency look like
@omooretweets@gerstenzang It’s a frequency difference…
Dating: many back and forth but slows down as you age
Friends: even in real life once you have a friend, you don’t keep looking for new ones
And a word of mouth difference
Dating: you are excited to talk about it to your friends
Friends: mmmh
@TurnerNovak@JoePompliano 1/ If they want more attention time, they mostly need to take it from somewhere. Twitter? I don’t think so. Rest? Cannibalization
2/ ad product is a function of inventory (time spent) and engagement. It’s known that Twitter has low engagement. Can 🧵 10x that? I don’t think so
@SashaKaletsky they will never get the same reach before a very long time. To make it work, they would need to move their content (and take it away from here) and keep posting elsewhere with the risk of loosing their community. And They would need to do that all simultaneously w/ other users
