The Club can confirm its Retained & Released List following the end of the 2025/26 Season.
Thank you to all of the players for their efforts throughout the season. The Club would like to wish those leaving #ColU the best in their careers going forward.

I've found something that may offer some reassurance about the John Terry takeover. He recently posted on his Instagram that he's got a Diploma in Club Management from FIFA. This is an 18-month course that covers the full operation of running a football club. #ColU
If you look at the course detail, I think it demonstrates a commitment from him to want to run a club properly (not manage the team), and it probably makes him more qualified than the current owner!
We are delighted to welcome Joe Dunne back to Colchester United as our new Lead Under-18s Coach.
Joe replaces Eddie Keen, who has joined West Ham United to assist within their Player Development Pathway phase.
A man who needs no introduction to Uβs fans, Joe previously served the Club as a player, manager and coach, spending two years in charge between 2012 and 2014. Across two spells as a player, he made close to 200 appearances in blue and white.
After the last 15 months working within Gillinghamβs academy, Joe returns to the JobServe Community Stadium to guide the next generation of Uβs talent. He links up with an Under-18s group who recently reached the FA Youth Cup Fourth Round, narrowly edged out by Oxford United after four consecutive away ties.
Welcome back, Joe.

@morrisonclinton You didn't like running when you were in a #ColU shirt either ππ
Running is a great way to get your daily DOSE (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins)
@VirginExp Help! I keep getting this error when following the Book Now link. I want to book my experience for next week and so far I've had no response from your support or WhatsApp.
@JonWaldron1@CBoxChronicles His current situation says it all. He overestimated his level, and that misjudgment is why he's still without a club. Average League Two players don't usually make the jump to League One.
