Last night, Aber Kawas became the first Palestinian American elected to the NY State Senate.

That doesn't happen without reaching voters in the languages they actually speak.

@VoteShift built digital ads in English, Arabic, and Bengali for this race. Communities that Aber has spent years organizing in, block by block, long before she ran for anything.

Multilingual digital ads in a NY state Senate race are still rare, but we believe that voters Aber has organized for years deserved to be spoken to directly.

Our work had to reflect her actual relationship with these communities. Every creative choice needed to be anchored to specific neighborhoods Aber has walked and the people she has served.

Historic wins like this can look inevitable when you look back the next morning, but they never are. The decision to actually show up for Arabic-speaking and Bengali-speaking voters in a down-ballot race is the kind of thing nobody sees until the results come in.
