@GanaultPierre @JWvanGroenigen @frantecol @AglaiaBouma @R_Lelieveld @AlixVidal3 It is definitely possible that it's a Scherotheca. Pigmentation and body shape fit. There are some quite large species around there (not far from Carcassonne if Google Maps was right).

Six new large to giant earthworm species from one of the most well-known areas in Europe: they were just hiding under our feet!
