That's been the long term plan for Social Security since it's inception.
Originally there was a trust fund that politicians couldn't use or leverage for increasing the NATIONAL DEBT.

That ended in 1960. When Cheif Justice Earl Warren and the most liberal SCOTUS in history ruled that Social Security is nothing but a payroll tax and no rights, privileges, or entititelment convey.

The BUDGET ACT OF 1974 ended the line item veto. Which was the only guard rail against run away deficits.

This is what progressivism is.

Here's a question for NBC: when was the last time you saw a Democratic president request an interview with a conservative outlet? For almost a decade, Trump has had the balls to keep requesting these interviews with the Leftist media, knowing they’ll try to spin the narrative or rile him up. And this is how they repay him?
